Silberman's revelation
T2 omitted scene Scene description A great ironic scene of Dr. Silberman after the escape from Pescadero Hospital. Fate does love a jest. Reason cut Van Ling (Creative Supervisor), in T2, the Book of the Film, An Illustrated Screenplay: Silberman ranting and raving in the aftermath of the hospital escape --although a delicious piece of ironic come-uppance with resonance to the first film-- was deemed unnecessary to the forward movement and pacing of the narrative and was never filmed. Comments - Status - Source Terminator 2 script, Revised final shooting script: 82 EXT. MENTAL HOSPITAL The cops have shown up, as they always do. There are black-and-whites everywhere, and ambulances are arriving. Two cops and an orderly are required to subdue poor Doctor Silberman, who is raving at the top of his lungs. SILBERMAN ... it was all true and we're all going to die and the changed, I saw him change!! It's quite pathetic. A nurse shoots him up with a sedative. They lead him away. 82A T-1000 walks unperturbed among the milling cops. No one notices him. It slips into its cruiser and drives off into the night. |
