T-1000 & Douglas
T2 deleted scene Scene description The T-1000 walks to Sarah's cell in Pescadero Hospital, but sees Douglas screaming that Sarah has escaped. He screams to set him free, but the T-1000 walks calmly away. Reason cut Van Ling (Creative Supervisor), in T2, the Book of the Film, An Illustrated Screenplay: T-1000/Lewis' ignoring of the battered Douglas in Sarah's cell was filmed but not used in the film; this scene not only softens Sarah's vicious beating of Douglas by showing that he's still alive but also plays one last trick on him by leaving him locked in the cell. This was a nice bit of icing to his come-upperance but was unnecessary to the story's accelerating forward momentum, and was replaced by the offscreen morph of the T-1000 back to its default cop form. Comments - Status - Source Terminator 2 script, revised final shooting script: 69 IN THE CORRIDOR outside cell #19 the T-1000 stops and looks in the window. Douglas, his face a bloody mess, yells to be heard. DOUGLAS Open the door! The goddamn bitch is loose in the halls! To Douglas' amazement, Lewis the Guard turns impassively and walks away, leaving him shouting soundlessly at the window. CUT TO: |
