) Scene description Sarah opens her locker and smiles in the mirror. Reason cut From the Special Edition DVD of The Terminator: "This short moment in the employee locker room of Big Jeff's Restaurant was originally part of Sarah's introduction in the film and shows her own wry view of herself and her place in the world. Its narrative purpose of clearly establishing Sarah Connor via the name of the locker was more expediently achieved in the final film throught the simple use of an insert shot of a punched timecard." Director James Cameron's audio commentary from the region 1 Special Edition and the region 2 Ultimate Edition of The Terminator: "I like scenes when a character looks in the mirror because that character is having a dialogue with themself. It turned out not really to be necessary. We get who she is. There's enough information about her life and her reality. And that's all that's required." Comments An alternate introduction of Sarah Connor, instead of the timecard. Status The footage of this scene can be found on the Special Edition DVD's and the Ultimate Edition DVD of The Terminator. Sarah confronts her reflection in the mirror, pondering
its absurdity.
She pinches her sheeks.
Smiles vacuously.
SARAH
Hi, I'm Sarah and I'll be
